Wellington Gardens' Sidewalk Cafes

Eat, Stay & Relax - Wellington Gardens aims to provide something that Wellington presently sorely lacks - outdoor dining in a beautiful and relaxed atmosphere.

What will make the dining scene at Wellington Gardens even better is that restaurant goers will have more to do at Wellington Gardens than simply eat and go home.

Restaurant patrons can see a movie, go bowling, enjoy a round of Disney quality miniature golf or simply take a pleasant stroll through the central park area or botanical gardens. Wellington Gardens will give people reason to come, stay and play.

Western Palm Beach County's Best Dining Experience - For a good portion of the year, and especially during our winter horse season, South Florida (and Wellington, in particular) offers the opportunity for some really pleasant outdoor evening dining. The only problem, at present, is that we Wellingtonians have extremely limited choices of where to do that.

It's an easily observable fact that people like to be in the company of other people as part of their restaurant experience.  For most, the last thing you want is that alone feeling when you're ready to be seated at your dining table and there's no one else around.

With great tenant anchors, with landscape, with lighting, with striking architectural elements and the right amenities, Wellington Gardens will deliver the environment and the people that restaurants need to succeed.  All that's left is to deliver good food and good service.

Dining Among Botanical Beauty - We know of no other places in Florida, or anywhere in the U.S. for that matter, where botanical garden meets sidewalk cafes.  It's not that mixing botanical gardens with shopping and dining is a bad idea. Who wouldn't enjoy dining in the midst of a tropical garden?

More than anything, the reason why it doesn't exist is purely a matter of economics. Botanical gardens aren't generally money-making endeavors. Instead, they're more typically a rare community amenity that most communities can't afford - in terms of both land, start up costs and ongoing maintenance.

We have an unique convergence of circumstances at K Park that came together to make a botanical garden both a feasible and desirable element to the project. It's a proud part of Wellington Gardens that will serve as a living, ongoing legacy evolving and improving over time for generations to appreciate.

All the Comforts of Main Street - Wellington can likely never have an actual Main Street.  Our town's just not laid out to accommodate that. But it surely can have many of the most pleasing elements that define the best of America's Main Streets - beautiful tree shaded pedestrian walkways, great public spaces for lounging, strolling or people watching, and an active, comfortable social scene.

It is the place that the town's people visit often, not just for the services and conveniences, but for the social benefits of meeting or just running into friends and acquaintances. It's an important piece of what people come to call their home town - a place for people to connect.

We hope to create that important sense of place in a meaningful way for Wellington.  It's what makes an already good community great.
